What to do with retired Dress Shoes
I have a pair of quite worn out wingtips that sadly are no longer in wearable condition and well past any hope of repair. I don’t have a clue what to do with them. Throwing them in the garbage seems unjust and wasteful, so I’d appreciate any alternatives this forum may provide.
Consider paying a visit to the Salvation Army or a similar organization near you. While the shoes might be in bad condition, and seem unwearable to you, organizations like these may have different standards as to the quality of clothing and may well have a use for these shoes. And even if they do not, they could dispose of the shoes for you. Visiting the Salvation Army is a good opportunity as well to provide some of the clothing you have not worn in a long time, so it may be a good idea to go through your wardrobe to pick out some items besides the shoes.
