Getting tired of throwing my wallet out every two years. How can I get one that lasts and holds everything I need?

This sounds contradictory at first, but it’s the answer: buy thin wallets made of thick leather.
What that means is that you don’t want the wallet to be very big when it’s folded up empty. Avoid anything with lots of space in each pocket, multiple folds and extras, and in general anything that’s going to add bulk. A fat wallet is hard on the leather where it bends and on the seat of your pants.
So look for slim construction. But also look to make sure that the leather itself isn’t just a paper-thin coating. It should have some stiffness — should resist being bent back and forth too easily. And of course, check the stitching at the seams to make sure it’s well held-together and nothing’s unraveling before you even take it home.
Also make sure you have the right type for your needs — I talk a little bit about choosing a good wallet in this video from our Real Men Real Style YouTube channel:
Menstyleqa, i’ve recently converted to using a money clip. And there are some good ones in the market now – they’ll even hold your credit cards and drivers license.Wallets, even when thin, hurt my back after hours of sitting on it while on the computer. Money clips dont have that problem. And everyone has things in their pockets nowadays – cellphones etc- so a lump on your thigh is pretty standard
