to add to my subject on shoes.I don’t want have crowd of shoes,but enough to wear,and to last me a long time.
As Antonio says, you want to build up an interchangeable wardrobe. If you build that with quality pieces, there’s no need to have too much of anything, as you can rely on what you have for years to come. Have too wide a selection and you might lose oversight over what exactly you have, making it harder to learn how to combine items to make for a stylish look. On the other hand, you do want to have options, especially with accessories such as ties and pocket squares, so that you can match them not only to your outfit but also to, say, your mood.
In a budget-constrained scenario that applies to most of us, getting a few quality items is certainly much better than getting a whole array of lesser quality ones.
