How many inches could a jacket be shortened until it starts looking off (proportions, pockets)?
Im Harry from Sydney Australia and first of all I would like to thank you for your videos – you have certainly helped me with my styling.
I am a very short guy as I am 5 foot 4. When it comes to buying shoes I find it harder to find ones that don’t look like clown shoes. Im a size 39/40, which is also harder to come by. Ive been trying a lot of shoes and I think shoes where the top of the toecap is curved is best – opposed to flat. Additionally shoes that aren’t too narrow are best as they narrow shoes elongate my foot. Correct me if Im wrong.
Do you know shoemakers that make ‘shorter’ styles, that dont make my feet look like a clown’s? Are there any styles I should be leaning towards? Is there a ratio or proportion I should follow for the length of shoe? Are there colours or finishes to the leather I should be learning towards?
I used to be a basketball player, which is the reason why I have broad shoulders. This would normally compliment a guys physique, but not so for me. I have kind of a small head. Which make makes my body look too big in proportion to my head. the broad shoulders just makes it worse. I was wondering what kind of advice I can have with regards to dressing in a suit, seeing that a suit usually makes a guys shoulder look broader, which in my case would not necessarily be a good thing. Also, are there any on more semi-casual clothing as well? Is there a certain type of shirt style or material that I should be looking out for?
Can you you give further explanation about this drop subject? i’ve seen some brands having a drop measure, R7, R8, etc. How does this work for guys with bigger or smaller chests?
