Question from F:
Do we really need to look vintage while getting ready for a formal engagement such as Job/Scholarship Interview or official meetings etc. If YES, how can I i dress up to such as occasion (I mean if you could give me some suggestions for a 3 piece suite-single and double breasted, wearing a particular hat, using tweed etc) for the above occasions.
I am looking for some guidelines for my first bespoke double breasted jacket/suit, my build is 5’7″ and 122lbs.
I have made some research about it and now I am almost placing my order, but I just want to be sure about every detail.
At these moment I am settle with this: 6×4 (low and spread button instance, with spread I mean a pronounced Y with the buttons), “wide” peak lapels (the peaks will be high), ticket pocket, pockets with flaps, trim waist, “fuller” chest, trim skirt, 4 functional buttons on each sleeve, italian shoulders (rope shoulder expression with some padding), brown 100% cashmere wool (considering a pattern, such as a subtle red plaid).
What do you think? Thanks in advance!
Which is better, a double breasted jacket or a single breasted jacket? I’m getting some new suits and don’t know which to go with.
I was just wondering if you could explain the difference between single and double breasted suit jackets and under which circumstances you would wear one instead of the other?
