Which Suit Pockets Should I Keep Things In?
Do I keep my wallet and phone in my pants when I wear a suit, or should I be putting them in the jacket pockets? And should I use the inside pockets or the outside ones? Thanks for any help.
I usually use my inner breast pockets for my wallet and my phone. I only have a couple keys, which don’t make much of a bulge, so I’m usually comfortable keeping them in my trouser pocket, but if yours ruin the line of your pants you can always use one of the outer front pockets on the suit.
There are lots of ways to arrange it, but in general you’re more likely to make your trousers look awkward by putting things in the pockets than your jacket. Try to limit the amount of things you’re carrying in general (only the necessary keys, keep the wallet slim, etc.) and your suits will always look nicer for it.
