Spectator Shoes
Lately I have been seeing spectator shoes and saddle shoes in mags and catalogs which I receive. But NEVER see anyone actually wearing them. I think this is the because people, and I, have trouble matching them to clothing combinations.
Black and White is a no brainer but do you have any ideas about brown and white/bone shoes ?

IMHO black/white or brown/white spectators are too “Golf esque” which is why most people dont wear them, they are too much of a “Statement” shoe now a days. Back when they where popular in the early 90′s it was a way to stand out. Everyone back then had black or brown Oxford/Derby shoes, so the only way you stand out is by two toning it with white. Spectators where also very popular with the younger crowd particularly in the Jazz scene.
In the 21st century “Standing out” already is wearing a proper lace up welted shoe. With that already very rare a two tone one is going to be eye pooping. So if you want to stand out and pay homage to the roaring 20′s then go ahead and wear them! Just requires a bit of confidence to do but not impossible. Personally for me they are not my style.
