What do y’all think about wearing striped or patterned ties with stripped shrts with a suit. Some guys are unsure how to handle it.
Pattern matching is nothing to be shy of. One easy rule gets you through pretty much all situations:
When you wear more than one pattern, the scale of each pattern should be different.
So if your shirt has narrow vertical pinstripes, wear a tie with broad diagonal stripes or a non-stripe pattern like a repeating figure pattern. Same goes for wearing patterned shirts with a patterned suit, and so on.

Antonio wrote an article about matching neckties and dress shirts over at The Art of Manliness -http://www.artofmanliness.com/2011/04/26/match-tie-with-shirt-suit/
I hope this helps!
