Matching shoes with colors
How can I know when to wear black shoes or brown shoes so that it matches with what I am wearing? I know how to use the color wheel to match colors. But since the color wheel doesn’t have black and brown on it, I’m not sure what shoes to wear with certain colors. For example, with a green shirt, I’m pretty sure brown shoes would work, but would black also be acceptable?

Hello!
I honestly thing matching the shoes, socks and pants is more important than the shirt. Black shoes is very versatile HOWEVER, there are some purist that believe black shoes should be only worn at formal occasions and funerals. Brown is usually the default fallback color and works with everything. “Brown” as in Dark, light, cordovan, oxblood, maple, tan, beige etc. All the browns.
In short, if you match your shoes, socks and pants and use common sense then the shirt will work. IE: Black pants, Black socks, Oxblood shoes but…pink shirt? Green is a interesting color, what about Green Polo, Khaki pants, brown shoes?
