Is it practical to remove the lining on a "summer" jacket?
After reading Antonio’s Hot Weather Dressing Guide, I tried looking for some warm weather sports jackets. Most used ones are fully lined. Is it practical to have the lining removed on a cotton jacket?
If the jacket was made lined, removing it might not be a great idea — lined jackets are typically cheaper than unlined because the lining lets the tailor leave some of the seams and stitches underneath the lining visible, rather than worrying about hiding them. You might be exposing some tailoring flaws if you remove the lining of a jacket that came lined.
