This is especially a problem for me when I’m traveling – if something wrinkle in my suitcase is there any way to fix it before I have to wear it the next day?

Most nice hotels will have a small iron either in the room or available on request. You can use that, or if you don’t think you’ll be staying somewhere that’s likely to have one you can bring a small travel iron in your suitcase — many electrics companies make them nowadays.
Alternatively, if you don’t have the time or the equipment to iron, hang the trousers straight from the cuffs and put the hanger on the inside of the bathroom door. Take a long, hot shower (or just leave a long hot shower running if you don’t need one) and let the pants sit in the steam — that’ll loosen the weave up and help gravity tug the wrinkles out for you.
