Though this will differ per country, I feel it is generally too uncommon for high school students to wear suits and thus it won’t easily be accepted. I grew up in Holland and anyone who stands out in secondary education (our school system is a little different) gets bullied. I showed up in a suit once for a presentation, and got stared at by everyone. Whether you can wear a suit depends on the reactions you get from your schoolmates and how you can cope with those. If the response is positive, by all means, go ahead. From my experience, however, I doubt it will be. You can start off with a sports jacket instead. A high quality jacket can dress you up close to a suit, but won’t attract too much attention. Since you’re young, I suggest going for a slim fit, so you don’t blend in too much with the teachers. I suggest you keep ties at home, or wear them loosely (if that suits you). Shoes are another great way to dress up in high school: nobody is going to make fun of a good pair of dress shoes, but they set you apart from the sneaker crowd.
I strongly encourage you to look for the boundaries of what’s deemed acceptable by your peers. If you’re not sure a suit will work, wear it on a day you have to give a presentation, it will give you a good excuse when you start getting strange looks. And if that does happen, start looking forward to university. I’m a master student and I wear my suits to class often, without anyone acting weird about it. In fact, I often get complimented by my female classmates, which is another great plus to dressing smart!
