Thoughts on a Custom Order for a Double Breasted Jacket/Suit?
Hello!
I am looking for some guidelines for my first bespoke double breasted jacket/suit, my build is 5’7″ and 122lbs.
I have made some research about it and now I am almost placing my order, but I just want to be sure about every detail.
At these moment I am settle with this: 6×4 (low and spread button instance, with spread I mean a pronounced Y with the buttons), “wide” peak lapels (the peaks will be high), ticket pocket, pockets with flaps, trim waist, “fuller” chest, trim skirt, 4 functional buttons on each sleeve, italian shoulders (rope shoulder expression with some padding), brown 100% cashmere wool (considering a pattern, such as a subtle red plaid).
What do you think? Thanks in advance!

Personal style is personal style — you go with what you want, and that’s the joy of bespoke.
I think it’s a little odd to combine a double-breasted jacket (fairly formal) with a ticket pocket and flap pockets (more casual), myself, but given that the base color is brown it’s already clearly not a business suit.
It might also be a little visually busy for a shorter man, especially if you do throw a plaid in there. That’s a lot of horizontal elements. Something more streamlined and up-and-down might add a little more visual height, if that’s something you care about.
But like the first sentence says, personal style is personal style. It’d certainly be a striking jacket.
