Hi, I’ve seen guys wear a suit without a tie, I don’t think it looks bad, but: Is it appropriate or is it a trend or fashion that will fade away. Thank you!
No, it’s not a trend of fashion – it’s just a more casual and comfortable way of wearing those clothes. So long as you’re not at a formal event ir somewhere with a specific dress code, wearing a tie is optional.

Thanks a lot!!!
There’s a pretty traditional school of thought that says you never wear a tie after 5:00 PM, in fact, which started with guys taking their ties off as they left work. They’d still be in suits, but removing the tie said “done for the day.”
Nowadays you see neckties in the evening at lots of events, and like most fashion “rules” it can be ignored in a lot of situations, but the suit over the open collar is a long-standing evening look.
Your answer, as usual, very helpful and explanatory, thank you!
It’s not a fad. It’s more of an option especially when you’ve called it a day at work.
