Black Pea Coat & Flannel Trousers

I bought a black pea coat 6-7 months ago and I want to match with flannel trousers, shirts and sweaters. I am a student now and I usually wear jeans and sport jackets , but I want to change my style and it will be my first experiment. 🙂 I am a “medium contrast man”.

I think that the possible combinations are :
1) black dress shoes, charcoal grey flannel trousers, medium grey sweater, blue(or white) dress shirt and black pea coat

2) black dress shoes, medium grey flannel trousers, charcoal grey sweater, blue(or white) dress shirt and black pea coat

My idea is to buy 2 pairs of trousers( maybe two shades of grey ), 2 sweaters and 2 dress shirts, so that I can match them from Monday to Friday.

  1. Sounds fine to me. Not sure what the question here is — what you’ve described should work well, and it sounds like you’ve already got a good idea of what you’re doing!

  2. I agree.. Sounds fine to me as well.
I love the black Pea Coats, as I don’t wear Sport jackets.. when I need the extra layer I in the cooler weather I go to my Pea Coat, it goes well with my slacks, Black, different shades of grey, and darker browns… I don’t wear it with Jeans…
