After Shave and Cologne
Is it acceptable to wear cologne and after shave at the same time? Are there quid pro quo’s to that at all? I wear Creed Aventus cologne and I have always loved the feel and scent of Old Spice original aftershave. I’m certainly not liberal with the aftershave I don’t want to dry out my face, I just wasn’t sure if that would be a faux pas.
As long as the two scents don’t clash you can wear both. Actually, it is very common to layer scents to make it last longer without being overpowering. Usually it’s the same scent added to different products made by the same company. Old Spice for example .. I like Old Spice Swagger. That scent by Old Spice has a deodorant, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and body spray. When all are used together you get a long lasting scent that isn’t too strong as long as you don’t go overboard with the body spray. That is just an example of layering a scent. I don’t layer scents like that myself. I like to go light on a scent and only use body sprays for intimate nights out with my fiance. I usually don’t wear a scent at all.
