Hi guys
I’m just wondering is it OK to get a single breasted three piece made but to have a double breasted waistcoat?
I want to wear the suit for formal and informal occasions.

I presume that you are meaning to wear a single breast jacket with a double breasted waist coat. This is definitely not faux pas. It is a look that I have seen pulled off very well. To me it is quite an old look, so keep this in mind when trying to wear it casually, as old looks don’t usually work as casual outfits. However, if you feel you can pull it off go for it. After all, it is all personal preference, of you try your new suit on and your are smokin then just rock it! Wearing this outfit will not be breaking any traditions or rules so you should be fine.
